Saint Jean Baptiste Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization. Saint
Jean Foundation was founded upon the growing need to assist families in
crisis. Services shall include, but not limited to, delinquency and dropout
prevention, legacy, and counseling. Many minority families are experiencing
hard acculturation and economic problems that lead to domestic violence and
increase their chances of entering the juvenile detention and becoming
criminal. Saint Jean Baptiste Foundation is a source for counseling and
guidance to rebuild and restore family values in our community.

Director of 501 c(3) non-profit needs financial help and/or donations

My name is Matt. A few years ago I started a non-profit organization to encourage students to pursue careers in science, math and technology. There's a tremendous shortage of engineers and scientists in the country. I thought this was a need I could help with. For awhile, I worked on it while also having a regular "day" job as a software programmer and website developer. Earlier this year, I realized the workload had become too much to have two full-time jobs, so I left my "day" job to focus on the non-profit. Of course, this isn't a good time for non-profit organizations or charities. In fact, donations and grants are almost zero at this point.

The organization is the Aerospace Research & Engineering Systems Institute, Inc., http://www.aresinstitute.org. If you visit the website and click on the "About" link, you can read more about it and there's also a link to the official IRS registration of our 501 c(3) tax-exempt status.

So, here's the situation...

Since the spring, I've put as much as I can into the company from my personal assets to keep it alive. I've sacrificed my car, luxuries like cable TV (ALL luxuries, in fact) and have even reduced my food budget to next-to-nothing. I'm actually relying on friends donations of food and household items otherwise I'd be down and out for sure.

I do NOT have any credit card debt; do NOT have student loans; have NOT lived beyond my means; and I have never bought luxury items or things not necessary to live. In short, I live within my means and sacrifice as much as I need to. I haven't been foolish by running up credit cards, buying a house or car that I can't afford or going to movies and vacations when I can't afford it. In other words, I know I'm doing the right thing and playing by the "rules" such as they are.

I'll also point out that I have been employed, full-time, since the 1990's. I still work every day, 12+ hours, and don't intend to change that.

So, no debt, full-time job, what's the problem? The problem is that I put so much into the non-profit that I am not exactly financially self-sufficient right now. Worse than that, more importantly, the non-profit (like many these days) is struggling to remain viable. There's just no money out there it seems.

Because of that, I'm turning to any resource I can find on the internet and off in order to ask the good people who are around for assistance. I'm not asking for any specific amount - $1 or $100, it's all helpful. It will help me personally as well as my company as it tries to make it through the recession as well.

If anyone out there can help, please contact me or use the PayPal Donate button on the homepage of our website. Either way works for me. I can't offer anything in return except eternal gratitude, although I wish I could do more.

Thanks so much.

Small Business Needing Financial Help

Thank you for taking the time to read my situation.  I have a great small business in Kansas and it's grown!  Articles are in the paper about my success and helping other small businesses. I have created a large networking non-profit for businesses as well.  I teach classes for area colleges, for the SBA and different businesses on how to market on a shoe string budget.

My thoughts are to grow my talent, and keep helping small or large business owners grow their businesses, through good marketing and proper advertising to reach their target. BUT my credit henders me from moving forward, to get funding (isn't the greatest from a bad divorce).  I want to pay off all of my debts, and grow my little company larger, teaching people at the same time how to market their small businesses generating more income.  I have been a graphic designer for 25 years, and worked in the marketing arena for a long time. Started my business 3 years ago.

I hate to give out my personal information on this site, but wondered if there was someone, some company out there to help me either fix my personal financial picture, pay off my debts, an angel or come up with ideas to help me move forward.

 Thank you so much!

Support Boy Scouts of America

I am a member of the Boy Scouts of America in the Pickens District of the Blue Ridge Council. I am looking to raise $17,000.00 in support of the Pickens District to ensure that under privileged boys are able to enter into scouting in our area. The Blue Ridge Council has established a legacy of ensuring that no boy is left out of scouting due to financial means. The Pickens District supports this philosophy in ensuring that every boy interested in scouting in our District are able to participate. We are seeking your help in making this possible for the youth of the Pickens District. Donations can be made at our District website on the home page. The page can be found at http://bsapickensbrc.webs.com. Please support Scouting and the youth that desire to be part of it.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Help Non-Profits get Qualified to get grants

Posted in Non-profit Organizations 18 minutes ago

Hello new non-profit, in the world of Non-Profits you are known as a Young Non-Profit.

As such you may not be aware that in order to qualify for Grants from Foundations and the Government. You must have explicit ByLaws that are 11 to 12 pages in length which indemnify the members of your board and assures the Foundation in expert terms that any monies granted for certain projects will be used exclusively for that purpose and what types of projects, what restrictions will be on the board, and any sub panels that may be needed to complete the daily projects. also the ByLaws should describe the creation of  more jobs and how many. the length of term for the director (President) and other board members as is legal and what the Foundations expect to insure the public benefit will actually benefit the public as much as possible. Lawyers charge approximately $12,000 to $20,000 to write these lengthy bylaws as I described, however I am very experienced in writing these type ByLaws and willing to make yours especially for your new non-profit for the small sum of $2,000. Can have your new idea for a non-profit up and started not including the additional$750. filing fee for the IRS 501 (C)3 application which I will gladly help you fill out, however any budget plans must be provided by you. Let me know how Miracle Mtn Can help you become recognized as a Non-Profit entity so you too may qualify for grants both Federal and Private legally.

About 19Bob54

Back in 2006 I went to the Emergency Room as I had a piece of meat stuck in my throat, it would not go down nor come up.  After trying to remove it with nitroglycerin pills, they had to send me in for "minor surgery" and use the endoscope to pluck it out.  At the time I had just gotten married, and 2 weeks after getting married we learned the wife's son was getting booted from the institution he'd been places in and we had to make room for him, and it was right about the time he came to live with us I had the ER proceedure, abd the Wife & Kid were both on Disability and SSI, as a result I qualified for medical assistance and we all qualified for food stamps.  The wife was suposed to be taking care of paying  the bills, including the medical bills, apparently she missed this one.  By the time I found out about it it was too late for medical assistance, I was also in the process of getting divorced, I had to go in for neck surgery for which the wife would not even help transport me to & from the hospital.  After the neck surgery I was not allowed to return to work which was only P-T at minimum wage to begin with.  I've since recovered but I'm faced with almost certain daily neck pain, I've tried to apply for disability twice but ultimately was turned down.

I tried to get a decent job with the State Dept of Transportation thinking working on the road crew would be better than the grocery store job.  Well they offered me a job in the Welcome Centers Division, Part-Time still but more per hour.  Only now I've come to realize there was absolutely no guarantee of a certain number of hours per week, some weeks I do work 5 days, but mostly the average is 2 days as some weeks I don't work at all, and to boot, all these hours worked are approximately 4 hours distant from my home where I went to the ER.  Well I hung in and did a real good job when work was offered and although I had little hope of finding a F-T job as these are very appealing jobs and people tend to keep them once they land one, I know I would.  Well miracles do happen, a couple of F-T openings did appear, I bid on all of them and have interviews for them (even though they were all across the state) and I was quite certain I would get one.  Well again a miracle (or so I thought), I have been told a F-T job awaits me, but my luck is such that just days, wait, maybe only hours......or maybe only minutes before they offered me a F-T job assuring me of an income that would allow me to catch up on all my bills, and providing me with medical benefits for future ailments, the evil governor stepped in and slapped a hiring freeze on state jobs.  This was also a slap in my face after working so diligently, to now be considered less than a citizen or so it would seem.

So now I am back to square 2, (1 up from square 1), I'm looking for some sort of F-T Employment with some benefits (like who isn't looking for work these days, seems the whole nation/world is seeking work) and I get a call from some collection company demanding payment or they will recommend litigation.  First off, I wanted to verify the debt is still owed, I thought all medical bills from back then were, but all I ever got from the collection company was harassment & threats, so I will be checking with the Doctor's office, and yes, I do remember having this issue come up maybe a year and a half ago....I recall something, but not all the specifics, about applying for assistance under Hill-Burton, now after reading up on Hill-Burton, I guess that only covers Hospital Bills, NOT Dr. bills, and this all stems from a woman who was supposed to be managing our finances, I was busy earning the money, but as she became less willing to be a wife and became more self-centered, she left this slip through the cracks, and later when I was hospitalized for the neck surgery, she had me medical assistance cut off leaving me floundering for some way to pay for needed medical attention.

Most recently, just before being so rudly contacted by the collection company, my car, needed to get to and from work, had a problem, seems the one spark plug kept getting blown out of the engine and finally after the 3rd instance, I was not able to re-insert the plug, the threads used to hold it into the aluminum block engine/head were stripped out.....totally gone.  The garage I chose said a new engine would cost $5200 plus incidentals like head gaskets; a new head would cost $2500 plus incidentals, and they thought they could put in a Helicoil Thread Insert which is what Ford recommended as the repair proceedure.  This cost me $550.00, and I thought the problem was fixed.  It also leaves me with not quite $450 in my account and the mortgage of $325 due by April 5th.  Well I thought they had fixed the problem and drove off and drove maybe 40-50 miles when the check engine light came on again, the engine had a bad miss and was barely able to keep running at idle.  It cost me another $75 to have the garage that supposedly fixed the problem, diagnose that my cylinder #2 was only able to achieve 50% of normal compression....there was a leek somewhere (burnt or bent valve, scored cylinder walls, no one knew for sure, just that it would cost lotsmore to fix it.

I had to go back up to my house in North Central PA and resurrect an old plymouth minivan that had been sitting idle since I had filed for divorce in 2006 and try to get myself some sort of transportation to continue working. (my headquarters location was only 9 miles from my brother's house where I was staying until I find F-T employment, but I had to frequently drive 60 - 160 miles to other locations to achieve that 2 day average workweek), and this vehicle cost me $36 to register/license, $152 to repir and inspect, and I just got the insurance bill, well it wasn't as bad as I'd feared, it was only $35 due now, but that only covers me till June 20th, then I'll probably have to come up with another $250 to $300 for insurance.

I've taken the Ford to another mechanic and he estimates the repair to be about $1100 to $1600.  What I really need help with right now is if anyone knows where I can get financial assistance for the medical bill ($1047.00) to get them off my back, and/or if anyone knows of a good F-T job with some benefits that I might apply for.I've been lookig to work in the field of non-profit agencies in fundraising, especially in Special Events planning.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me, I really hate to be asking, I was brought up to take care of my own problems, but all of a sudden they just stacked up faster than I can solve them.

Oh, by the way, I do volunteer here in the Lehigh Valley, PA, I am trying to help raise funds for a local youth center hoping any effort I put forth to keep active in fundraising would help me get a decent job.

I'm interested in obtaining some kind of grant to get a non-profit agency going in my community. I wanted to start something for people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. People who are autistic, eating disorders and ADD/ADHD and adult ADD. I can't afford to pay introductory fees or anything. I also wanted to start my own biz where I can work my own hours and not be treated poorly, slaving for others. I wanna own a hippy store selling aroma therapy products, hemp jewelry and hippy clothes. Any info would be appreciated. I can be reached at metalchic2007@yahoo.com T. L. Allen PO Box 215 Mayville NY 14757. (716)269-2125. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I do have 3 children. My oldest is 14, she had epilepsy when she was a baby, and suffers asthma, but she doesn't let it get in her way, she's heavily into cheerleading and keeps her grades in honor roll all the time. My 11 yr old daughter is border-line autistic. She seems to do well in school but kids tend to pick on her. My 3 yr old son doesn't have any issues yet, just ear infections, his hearing is still good and he learns how to read and spell, and speaks in articulate sentences. I have Adult ADD but very little. I'm manic depressive, bi-polar and highly anxious. I had suffered annorexia nervosa and bulimea for quite a few years and put up with alot of mental, physical, emotional & verbal abuses from previous EX boyfriends.

NON-PROFIT ORG. TO PROVIDE AFTERSCHOOL CARE TO CHILDREN

HELLO NICE PEOPLE! COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW I WOULD GO ABOUT THE PROCESS OF STARTING UP A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND GETTING A GRANT OR ASSISTANCE WITH COSTS. I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A BUILDING IN MY TOWN AND RENOVATE IT SO THAT I CAN PROVIDE AFTER SCHOOL CARE TO CHILDREN OF THIS COMMUNITY WHO ARE UNDERPRIVILEGED OR JUST HOME ALONE AFTER SCHOOL. I WANT TO PROVIDE TO THEM A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN BE ASSISTED WITH THEIR SCHOOL STUDIES, PROVIDED BY VOLUNTEERS FROM THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE COMPUTERS AVAILABLE FOR THE OLDER TEENS SO THAT THEY COULD ACQUIRE COMPUTER LITERACY, A SKILL THAT IS A NECESSITY OF THIS SOCIETY. ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER CREATIVE ART CLASSES IN PAINTING, POTTERY, BEADING AND CRAFTS. YOU KNOW THE SAYING.....ALL WORK AND NO PLAY. THIS WOULD BRING SOME FUN-TIME INTO THEIR STUDIES, MAKING THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE MORE ENJOYABLE.  THIS IS A MUCH NEEDED FACILITY  AND PROGRAM IN MY TOWN, IT WOULD BRING ME ULTIMATE JOY TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE IT.

Hi,

This is the first I ever heard of a site like this. I came upon it searching payday loan sites. My husband, 6-year old son, and 5-year old daughter just returned to Charlotte from Tennessee about 5 months ago. My husband is from here and he had a friend who offered him a job so it was our opportunity to move to Charlotte near his family like we talked of doing so many times. When we arrived, after many promises, my husband was without work for the whole first month, and when he finally started with the guy, it was very sporadic. Needless to say, he left us high and dry. After expending our savings and what little we had i credit cards to live on, he has found a job and I also work full-time. I also attend school fulltime online, on loans and grants nodoubt, becaus I know that this is the only way we are going to make it eventually. We are trying really hard to keep up, but it seems like we just fall further behind. I was hoping someone might have some info on non-profits that will help with rent or utilities. We are in jeopardy of losing our house we rent and having the utilities shut-off soon. Thanks for information anyone may have.
